The Romanian basketball legend Mihai Nedef was born 8 November, 1931 in Bucharest, Romania. The 185-centimeters-tall guard spent the majority of his career with Steaua Bucuresti (1955-1967) club, winning 10 Romanian League titles.
Nedef made his EuroLeague debut in the inaugural 1958 season, scoring 87 points in 6 games, averaging 14.5 points per game. In total, he played 7 seasons in the EuroLeague, helping Steaua to reach the semi-finals stage during the 1959/60 season.
The Romanian was also a regular national team member, playing in 7 Eurobasket editions from 1953 to 1965, and averaging 8.1 points per game. In his EuroLeague and international games from 1952 to 1965, Nedef scored 762 points in 87 games.
